Volunteer Opportunities

The Newman Centre, in association with McGill's Centre for Research on Religion, the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops and many other organizations, is helping to sponsor and support the upcoming conference entitled "Trauma and Transformation: The Catholic Church and the Sexual Abuse Crisis". The conference runs October 14-15. This is a major conference that is gathering many important voices on the issue of abuse and the Catholic Church: check out there website for more information.

For out part of the assisting with the conference, we are looking for several student volunteers willing to lend assistance for registration and ushering for those days. Those willing to help will have access to the conference presentations for free, which would otherwise costs students $100. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Nathan Gibbard (nathan.gibbard@mcgill.ca) as soon as possible as spots are limited.
